I hired Shanti Mountain Properties to manage my Airbnb rental in Asheville, North Carolina. The first year I was pleased with their service. My Airbnb grossed about $60,000 under their management, and they charged me about $15,000 for their services, which was the agreed upon amount. Then they hired a new manager, and overnight their charges went through the roof. I called the owner to question their new policies, and he assured me that they were improving their services and the higher costs were justified. I just reviewed my 2023 profit/loss statement from Shanti Mountain Properties. My Airbnb grossed $40,000, and Shanti Mountain took $25,000 in management fees. I have discontinued my association with the company. I would highly recommend NOT doing business with Shanti Mountain Properties.

This place is amazing and has a breathtaking view. The house is very cozy and welcoming. It had all the amenities we needed. We highly recommend this place. Money we’ll spent.

Just spent 3 nights here with my two small kids, husband and parents. This house was more than we even hoped for. Super clean (felt new), really well stocked (had a whole closet of extra towels etc.) and plenty of space for everyone (both sleeping and hanging out). The neighborhood is adorable and it’s just a short drive to all the West Asheville spots. Easy to check-in and hosts were great with communication. We loved our stay!

This place was an amazing experience. Great vibes. The Amazon echo, the 3D art room, and hot tub kept us entertained most of the time and when we wanted to leave the house Downtown is just 12 minutes away. Perfect distance if you want to visit Ashville without staying right downtown. House was cleaned well and had great communication with the property manager. Beds are pretty comfortable as well. Hope this helps with your choice, we had a great time!

I had an amazing time staying at The Studio! The area was extremely peaceful and serene and the space had everything I needed. It was the perfect solo retreat in the mountains and my expectations were beyond met!! Would certainly stay here again!!

By far one of the best experiences with Airbnb that we have had to date. Communication with the team was unrivaled. Cabin was beautiful. Drive up the road was interesting at 10 PM (thank you for this very specific directions!) but once we arrived we realized it was more than worth it. Definitely trying to figure out when we can go again. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

Fantastic stay. Great little cabin with everything you could possibly need. The host was attentive and communicative. Views were beautiful, and the cabin was spotless. Highly recommend.

What's not to love about the Cedar House! No expense was spared. The house was well decorated and felt like home away from home. We really enjoyed making home cooked meals in the beautiful kitchen. The highlight was lounging around on the couch eating ice cream although my girlfriend demolished most of it, but I can't hold that against the AirBnB, I just hold it against my girlfriend. She can be selfish like that sometimes, but thus is the relationship life, a series of give and takes...COMPROMISE. Now that I think of it, I am really the only one to compromise, so maybe I need to do some soul searching. Anywho, it'll work itself out. Back to the airbnb, looking forward to going back!

The Cedar House is a must stay! Check-in was super easy, the style & décor were on point, the overall place was gorgeous, well-organized, cozy, comfortable, and a great place to relax with loved ones. We really enjoyed making home cooked meals in the beautiful kitchen. Looking forward to going back!

The Cedar Cabin was amazing!! It was exactly what we were looking for, about 10 minutes from Downtown Asheville yet still up in the mountains with gorgeous views. The cabin was super clean and up to date. The detail in the house was gorgeous and beds/couches were very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!!

Really pleasant stay. Close to downtown Asheville without the noise and chaos. Easy check-in and check-out process. Ample parking. Comfortable living accommodations. Would recommend!

A very comfortable place! We were impressed with the cleanliness and decor. The host also provided plenty of the basics plus some added ones that came in handy. The porch and surrounding woods were very soothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It was seamless to slip into Cedar Cabin and feel like you are at home. Johnny has carefully thought through everything a guest might need. The cabin was spotless on arrival, amazingly quiet (excellent for people who don't love the random noises that wake you up on hotels), and comfortable. Plenty of varied places to sit, read, lie down, convene with nature, and even work. You can feel out in the wilderness even though just minutes from Asheville. Plenty of amenities nearby. Easy in and out, clear house rules, tons of helpful travel information. Worth six stars :)

I don’t know where to begin. This was my first Airbnb experience. From the start, Johnny was amazing. He answered my questions quickly and continued to do so until checkout. The property was as amazing. The space is so well designed. Open, airy and easy to live in- more than enough room for the 6 of us. Comfortable and tasteful details were so thoughtful-we wanted for nothing. Everything was easy to use - hot tub, electronics, keypad. Everything felt right. Beds, sheets, towels, the kitchen, and the farm table!! The deck. The views. The swing that lets you enjoy a morning cup of coffee while listening to the running stream. The location is perfect too. Quiet neighborhood so you feel remote, but an easy drive to highways and Asheville. This place is a gem.

Excellent location and accommodations!!

Staycation destination! I'm local and from time to time my wife and I like to treat ourselves to a "kid free" night out on the town and enjoy the area. We stayed here for the weekend to get away and glad we did. Just the place to get some good R&R! Super cute, very clean, and private. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We will be back for sure!

I am very happy with Shanti Mountain Vacation Rentals! The customer service was extremely helpful and quick to respond when I had a question. Also, the house was clean and I felt very taken care of for my stay. I will be back again!
